NEW Esports continue their hot streak here at the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League, ending the first day of Week 2 with a dominant 2-0 victory over Neon Esports.

Fnatic and BOOM Esports have also made their debuts in the league, with Fnatic sweeping Team Adroit, 2-0, while BOOM Esports tied, 1-1, with Reality Rift.

BOOM Esports 1 – 1 Reality Rift

BOOM entered their first match of the league with Ramzi “Ramz” Bayhaki standing in for midlaner Rafli Fathur “Mikoto” Rahman, who the team said could not play due to connection problems.

With BOOM not playing at full strength, Reality Rift got to an early lead in game one. However, BOOM was able to strike back and take the first game of the series behind Randy “Dreamocel” Sapoetra’s Phantom Assassin, who finished the game with an excellent 16/2/12 KDA.

Reality Rift struck back hard in game two. They ran a four-protect-one strategy, headlined by Andrew “Drew” Halim’s Antimage, to near perfection to tie up the series after 35 minutes of action. Drew ended the game with a 15/2/4 KDA.

Fnatic 2 – 0 Team Adroit

Adroit opened their series against tournament favorites Fnatic strong, as Marvin “Boomy” Rushton on a support Mirana powered his team to an early lead. However, Fnatic was able to hold the line to enable Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon’s Phantom Assassin to lead them to a comeback win. He finished his first game of the league with a 17/3/7 KDA.

23savage was given Morphling in game two and shone once more as Fnatic dominated Adroit to sweep their first match of the league. 23savage pulled off the play of the day when he switched items in his backpack in the middle of a clash to help him survive on low health. He then capped that off by ending the game with an stellar 18/2/9 KDA.

NEW Esports 2 – 0 Neon Esports

NEW Esports stunned Neon Esports in game one behind strong performances from Hsien Wan “Lance” Fua on Faceless Void and Yi Liong “ddz” Kok on his signature mid Nature’s Prophet. The Malaysian squad’s carry duo both finished the game with double-digit kills, with Lance notching a clean 14 kills while ddz added 12 of his own against four deaths.

NEW Esports dominated from the get-go in game two, with Lance on Weaver notching another perfect 16/0/15 KDA to lead his team to their second 2-0 victory here in the SEA League.

With their win against Neon, NEW Esports leapfrog over T1 to take the top spot in the group stage standings with 8 points from two series wins and two ties.

Adroit and Fnatic round out the third and fourth spots, respectively. Adroit has accumulated 4 points from 4 series ties and one loss while Fnatic’s 2-0 victory over them gave them 3 points.

Reality Rift share fifth place with TNC Predator as both teams have 2 points. Meanwhile, BOOM’s 1 point from their tie with Reality Rift puts them in a three-way tie with Execration and Neon for seventh place.
