Get ready for some intense Dota 2 action as eight teams slug it out to qualify for the upcoming MDL Disneyland Paris Major.

The seven-day US$300,000 OGA Dota PIT Minor, taking place at the Spaladium Arena in Split, Croatia, will host its group stage event in front of a live audience.

Alliance, BOOM ID, EHOME, Forward Gaming, Gambit Esports, Majestic Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Royal Never Give Up will be split into two groups, with the winners heading straight the quarterfinals playoffs for best-of-three matches, while the bottom of the group will face elimination in the best-of-one lower bracket.

The winners of the Minor will earn US$125,000 and more importantly, 120 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points, which are needed to qualify for the biggest Dota 2 event of them all, The International 2019, which is taking place in Shanghai later this year.

With a pretty stacked lineup, teams will have to put on their best performance, though all eyes are on Ninjas in Pyjamas, Forward Gaming and Alliance to take the top spot. Surprise victors could also come from Chinese teams Royal Never Give Up and EHOME, who feature veterans such as Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng and Zhang “xiao8” Ning.

It will be interesting to see if the eventual winners of this Minor can repeat Vici Gaming’s stellar performance in a Major, the Chinese team had won the last minor to qualify for the Dreamleague Major and crushed their way to win it as well.
