Gambit Esports has loaned midlaner Danil “gpk” Skutin to Evil Geniuses (EG) for the duration of the OMEGA League European Immortal Division.

Gambit said in a statement that the move was a “mutual agreement” and that gpk will “greatly benefit from this experience.”

Gpk will be filling in for EG midlaner Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop, who is still unable to join the team for the OMEGA League due to travel restrictions caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Gpk will also now be the second CIS player in EG’s lineup, joining offlaner Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, who will be playing with the team for the first time since the pandemic shut down the competitive scene in March.

Gpk will be the second player that Gambit has loaned to another team, as team captain and position 5 support player Artiom “fng” Barshack was loaned to Alliance back in May.

With gpk and fng loaned to other teams, only carry player Kiyalbek “dream” Tayirov and Danial “XSvamp1Re” Alibaev remain on Gambit’s roster. The team has not competed in any tournaments since they bottomed out at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online EU/CIS league back in May.
