Top Southeast Asian team TNC Predator has announced that Kim “Febby” Yong-min will be joining the team as their new coach.

Febby most recently played alongside current TNC captain, Park “March” Tae-won, in Team Jinesbrus in the SEA Regional Qualifier for The International 2019, where they barely missed out on attending the event after losing to Mineski, 3-2, in the Grand Finals.

The two also notably played alongside TNC offlaner Damien “kpii” Chok in MVP Phoenix back in 2015.

Febby will also be the second South Korean coach to join the Philippines-based organization, as Lee “Heen” Seung Gon was the team’s coach for much of 2019 before he departed for Team Secret.

“We believe his veteran experience and knowledge as a player will give the team a boost, and the team chemistry he had before with Kpii and March will surely help us to grow and become a better team,” said TNC in a statement.

Febby will be joining a TNC team looking to continue their early success in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), having won the first Major of the season, the MDL Chengdu Major, over Chinese rivals Vici Gaming.

The new coach is also expected to help the team adapt to the fluid meta of the 7.23 patch, as TNC will surely be looking to replicate the success they had in the 7.22 patch that was key to their victory in Chengdu.

The team notably had mixed results in the first tournament of the 7.23 patch, the ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore Invitational, where they placed 7th-8th.

TNC will be looking for a second Major championship in the DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major, which is set to begin very soon on January 18.

  3. Damien “kpii” Chok
