Southeast Asian powerhouses Fnatic, went up against North American squad, Cloud9, on the first day of DOTA Summit 12.

With Fnatic in the lead, Cloud9 attempted to gain back control with a smoke gank play at the 22-minute mark.

The team quickly eliminated Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong’s Grimstroke and caught Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon’s Drow Ranger and Daryl Koh Pei “iceiceice” Xiang’s Snapfire as followup targets.

However, Djardel “DJ” Mampusti’s Earthshaker took matters into his own hands and immediately turned the fight around by catching four members of Cloud9 with his Echo Slam ultimate leading to the easy cleanup.



Fnatic dominated the first day of the Group Stage by remaining undefeated with convincing wins over Team Liquid and Cloud9. They currently hold the top spot in the DOTA Summit 12 Group Stage followed by OG Seed and Evil Geniuses
