Two Dota 2 legends are teaming up for charity.

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin is one of Ukraine’s highest-profile players, and arguably Dota 2’s first superstar. His affable personality, highly entertaining gameplay, and dominating the esport during its early years with NAVI have endeared him to fans for more than a decade.

Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, also known as BigDaddy, is one of Dota’s most accomplished players ever, winning four Majors and two The International titles with OG. He’s turned to streaming more since his retirement from the competitive circuit, and has been a delightful presence in his streams and as a caster.

The event is part of the #StreamersWithUkraine initiative run by organization.gg. The marathon will run for 30 days, with all donations going to charity organizations Nova Ukraine and Razom.

The Dota 2 community, which has a large player and support base in the CIS region, has risen in support for Ukraine against Russia’s invasion. Prominent players, talents, and esports organizations have been quick to distance themselves from Russia, even breaking ties with ESforce Holding, a Russian esports holding company.

Organization.gg also partnered with WePlay Esports for the event, a notable Ukrainian tournament organizer in charge of several of some of Dota 2’s biggest events, including the WePlay Animajor.
