The Fortnite superstar pledged a massive USD$150,000 to hunger-relief charity, Feeding America, making his donation by far the biggest in the esports world.
In a tweet, Ninja said he chose Feeding America because it focused on providing meals for out-of-school children and their families.
“We need to thank all of you guys for the support because this is not just our money. This is on behalf of Team Ninja,” said Ninja’s wife, Jessica Blevins. With their donation, the couple also urged others who were capable to donate to such organizations.
Ninja touched on how people can prevent the spread of CoVID-19 through social distancing.
“This is a very serious issue,” said Ninja. “We see a lot of young people who aren’t really practicing social distancing which is something that we should all be practicing as it will help not spread the virus to more people.”
The Fortnite streamer also encouraged other influencers to inform their audiences about the seriousness of the COVID-19 outbreak and how they too can practice social distancing.
