Call of Duty: Warzone gears up for its biggest competitive circuit yet, the World Series of Warzone (WSOW).

WSOW will showcase four online Warzone competitions with a US$300,000 prize pool per event. With a total of US$1.2M on the line, the series stands as the largest program prize pool in a Warzone tournament to date.

Format of the World Series of Warzone

The first WSOW event features two connected formats of an individual competitive tournament and a Captain’s Cup.

Individual competitive

Similar to the usual competitive battle royale format, WSOW players will compete in a 50-trio custom lobby for six matches. The trio with the highest points will take the largest share of US$200,000.

As for the remaining US$100,000, Activision Blizzard puts it up for grabs in the Captain’s Cup.

Captain’s Cup

The Captain’s Cup is a semi-invitational draft-based event, mixing rising Warzone players with some of the best Call of Duty League pros in the world.

Five captains chosen by the COD franchise will draft out a team of 10 trios including their own trio.

Aside from playing for themselves, the drafted trios will represent their captain teams in the six aforementioned matches.

The performance of the five teams will determine their share of the Captain’s Cup prize pool. The winning captain claims a US$20,000 prize for themselves and US$1,000 for every member of their captain team.

Each kill per player on each match: 1 WSOW point

  • 1st Place: 2x point multiplier
  • 2nd-25th Place: 1.5x multiplier
  • 26th-75th Place: No multiplier
