Warzone Pacific Season 2 brought about huge changes to meta weapons like the Bren and MP40.
After the nerfs to the MP40 submachine gun in mid to long-range fights, players are looking for a new SMG loadout to run in Caldera.
Faze Clan’s Kris “Swagg” Lamberson thinks he’s found what may be the best Warzone SMG in Season 2. The streamer showed off his new hipfire MP5 loadout, which he claims will be a top meta gun in Caldera this season.

Swagg opts for the Monolithic Suppressor on the muzzle, which suppresses sound and adds range.
Since this is a hipfire build, which means it’s supposed to be viable to use without needing to ADS, he’s also gone with the 5mW Laser for improved hipfire accuracy. It boosts sprint to fire speed as well, which can help with more aggressive plays.
One downside of the laser is that it can give away your position because it is visible to enemy players, but that isn’t as significant since you’re going to be actively seeking out engagements.

The Merc Foregrip on the underbarrel also helps with hipfire accuracy, alongside the added bonus of better recoil control.
Elsewhere, the 45 Round Mags increases ammo capacity, so you won’t empty your clip as quickly when you’re spraying someone down.
Finally, the Sleight of Hand perk lets you reload faster, an important trait for a hipfire build that will see you get up close and personal with enemy Operators.
Having said that, Swagg says there are a couple of ways you can modify this setup. If hipfire accuracy isn’t as important to you, you can remove the 5mW laser and add an FTAC Collapsible stock instead. This particular stock adds movement and ADS speed, for players who still want a fast, nimble build but prefer to ADS.
