Vietnamese squad Team Flash ended their Arena of Valor International Championship 2020 Group Stage run in first place using some very unorthodox tactics.

In an interview after their match against Talon Esports, Team Flash mid laner Trần “XB” Xuân Bách promised that his team will play “more seriously” in the quarterfinals.

“Today, our team tested a lot (of strategies),” explained XB after losing against Talon 2-1. Throughout the group stage, XB revealed that Team Flash was only trying out fresh and unique strategies to perfect the new playstyle set by his team. Team Flash wanted to present new plays to excite not just their fans but themselves as well.

“In the quarterfinals, we will only use the new ones that we have proven effective. The quarterfinals are very important, so we won’t be testing any new strategies there,” explained XB.

Despite their experimental teamfights, Team Flash has dominated the top of the Group B standings, with Talon as the only team who managed to ruin their almost-flawless record.

Team Flash is expected to win their next match against BOX Gaming. “Failure in matches is mainly caused by our team members hesitating and not trusting themselves. I think Flash will surpass BOX Gaming this time,” said XB. He is confident that Team Flash will win the match but has refused to reveal their plans for the playoffs.
