With Rise of the Elementals coming to a close soon, Riot Games is giving its elemental champions one final power-up to solidify the ending meta.

Here’s a roundup of what to expect with the 10.5 patch:

Traits

  • Blademaster Proc Chance: 35% ⇒ 40%
  • Electric Damage: 80/250/500 ⇒ 80/250/550
  • Glacial Bonus Damage: 75/175/350 ⇒ 75/175/375

With Glacial suddenly becoming part of the meta in 10.4, Riot has taken measures to increase its damage potential. Luckily enough, the other two buffs of Blademaster and Electric are solid counters against the freeze-based trait, leaving a good balance among the trait buffs.

Champions

Tier 1

  • Diana Shield Duration (Seconds): 3 ⇒ 4
  • Leona Shield Duration (Seconds): 5 ⇒ 4
  • Zyra Starting/Total Mana: 0/75 ⇒ 0/65

Tier 2

  • Syndra Spell Damage: 175/350/600 ⇒ 225/375/650
  • Yasuo Mana: 0/85 ⇒ 0/90

Tier 3

  • Ezreal Spell Damage: 225/450/900 ⇒ 250/450/900
  • Karma Spell Bonus Attack Speed: 40%/60%/80% ⇒ 35%/50%/100%
  • Nocturne Passive Healing: 40%/45%/50% ⇒ 50%/60%/70%

Tier 4

  • Janna Spell Healing: 20%/30%/100% ⇒ 25%/35%/200%
  • Twitch Attack Damage: 65 ⇒ 70

Riot did a massive upgrade among all the champion tiers, giving players more options for team building. Inferno units Diana and Zyra now become viable tier-1 starter units while Syndra and Ezreal do more damage with their spells. With Blademaster being buffed, Yasuo takes a small nerf in Last Breath’s mana requirements.

Three-star champions

  • Diana Number of Orbs: 3/4/5 ⇒ 3/4/6
  • Zyra Number of Plants: 2/3/4 ⇒ 2/3/5
  • Rek’sai Spell Damage: 250/550/850 ⇒ 250/550/1000
  • Dr. Mundo Spell Damage: 50/100/150 ⇒ 50/100/200
  • Zed Clone Mana Reduction: 50/25/0 ⇒ 50/25/-125. TL;DR Lots of Zeds.
  • Lux Spell Power: 550/900/9,999 ⇒ 550/900/99,999

With champions being stronger in general, Riot is rewarding players who devote their time to create 3-star champions.

Tier-1 units Diana and Zyra can set the arena on fire with stronger 3-star spells while Tier-5 unit Zed now spawns more clones with extensive mana. Rise of the Elementals’ rarest and most expensive champion Lux deals a whopping 99,999 damage, possibly rendering all team-comps ineffective at that point.

Looking back at Set 2, it’s clear that Riot has significantly improved the auto battler’s quality through such a turbulent, yet exciting elemental season.

Riot may have struggled with the set’s meta at the beginning, but they successfully implemented new heroes and intricate adjustments through the bi-monthly patches. Although we’ll be saying goodbye to our elemental champions in the next two weeks, TFT will be shooting to the stars with its next set, Galaxies.
