Renowned professional League of Legends player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is now an ambassador for multi-game event Shanghai Masters.

The honorary title was bestowed to the 23-year old South Korean by his esports organization T1 Entertainment & Sports and the tournament itself. He is now the Shanghai-Seoul Esports ambassador, an icon linking South Korea and China in the industry.

Faker, together with the rest of T1’s LoL roster, will be attending as guests of honor at the 2019 Esports Shanghai Masters, which will happen from November 28 to December 1.

The Shanghai Masters is a government-funded international tournament that will feature Riot Games’ MOBA title League of Legends as the main event. Other featured online games include Dungeon Fighter Online, WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos, and Overwatch.

The matches will be played live at the Shanghai Xin Jing’an Sports Center.

Other esports teams have confirmed their attendance to the event, such as the Overwatch League’s Shanghai Dragons and Hangzhou Spark.
