Group A was the first to play in the second round robin of the Worlds 2020 group stage. In their first game of the day, LPL representatives Suning took on PCS’ first seed Machi Esports. Known for playing bruisers and carry champions in the top lane, Chen “Bin” Ze-Bin put on a clinic on Irelia.

In the lead by more than 5,000 gold, Suning were pushing into Machi’s second tier turrets. Their mid laner, bot laner, and support were grouped up in mid while top laner Bin solo pushed bot.

Hiding in the fog of war was Machi’s jungler, Huang “Gemini” Chu-Xuan on Volibear. Top laner Hsieh “PK” Yu-Ting on Jayce baited Bin to take a trade, which was the cue for Volibear to enter the unsuspecting 2v1.

In that moment, Bin flashed to avoid Volibear’s ultimate Stormbringer, and went all in onto PK’s Jayce. He then got knocked back by Thundering Blow into the face of a raging police bear.

With Blade of the Ruined King, a full 12 stacks of Conqueror, and Triumph, Bin survived and even took down one in the 1v2.

Here’s how the 1v2 outplay looked like from his point of view:

By the end of the day, Suning and G2 Esports were tied at 4-2 a piece. Both teams had secured their place to the quarterfinals, and seeding was required. In the final tie breaker game, Suning came out on top to nab first place in Group A.
