G2 Esports’ newest League of Legends bot laner and Fnatic’s former star player Martin “Rekkles” Larsson revealed more of his post-season shuffle feelings during his very first stream under his new organization.
While playing League of Legends, Rekkles told his viewers that he really wished he could play with Fnatic for a bit more.
“On one hand I really wanted to stay because I promised and I had quite like a legacy to stand on there,” he explained. “But at the same time, it’s an opportunity I had to take. If I get an invitation from G2 to play with them and I say no, it’s not like they’re gonna ask again next year.”
He also posted a two-part YouTube video explaining his departure from Fnatic and his expectations playing with his new team.
“Up until this point I always thought they (Fnatic) were the team to play for, I didn’t see G2 coming like this.” said Rekkles.

Rekkles played League of Legends for four hours on his first Twitch stream under G2. He admitted that he doesn’t really play much solo queue nowadays.
“I normally just do normals and ARAMs in off-season. I don’t see a point in playing ranked, really,” he said while picking a champion to ban.
Rekkles’ first Twitch stream under the G2 banner earned him at least 40,000 viewers and 1.2 million views in less than 24 hours.
Rekkles played with Christopher “Duffman” Duff and his new support Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle. He played as Riven on the top lane under his Smurf account “Matt Donovan.” Turns out Rekkles is a big The Vampire Diaries fan!
