LoL the Next will dive into the Korean esports scene, from the big names of League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) down to aspiring rookies in the LoL leaderboard. Out of the 1000 players (with at least Diamond 1 ranking) that auditioned from the Korean servers, 40 have been selected to appear in the show.

Ultimately, the mentors will select five players for their teams. These two teams will face off at the LoL Park in Seoul, South Korea where they will play League of Legends to conclude the show. The winning team of the live broadcast will bag US$42,000 (KR₩ 50,000,000) and a special prize that’s yet to be unveiled.

Summoners can watch LoL the Next on the LCK YouTube, Twitch, AfreecaTV, Naver, wavve, and jump VR. It’s pilot episode will air on August 2 and will run for seven episodes every Sunday.
