Viewers have spent 512 million hours watching multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game League of Legends (LoL) on Twitch in just the first half of this year.

The game was able to take the top spot with a combination of spring and summer tournaments from LoL Championship Series (LCS), LoL European Championship (LEC), LoL Championship Korea (LCK), and the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI),

In contrast, popular battle royale game Fortnite came in second with 465 million hours watched, reported The Esports Observer.

It’s not the first time LoL has made the news for its viewership numbers on Twitch. Back in 2018, the MOBA game beat records during its World Championship Finals with a recorded 100 million unique viewers and 44 million concurrent peak viewers.
