LCK roster changes in 2024: Full roster of every team competing in Spring

The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) continues to assert its dominance, securing consecutive Worlds victories in 2022 with DRX and this year with T1.

T1, determined to clinch their 5th Worlds title, is maintaining their successful roster from the previous year.

Meanwhile, DRX is undergoing significant changes with a fresh approach, integrating rookie players into their roster for LCK Spring 2024.

LCK roster changes in 2024: All players and teams competing in LCK Spring 2024

Dplus KIA

Dplus KIA solidifies its roster for the upcoming season with key re-signings and strategic additions.

Worlds 2020 champion and mid laner Heo “ShowMaker” Su has committed to the team for another three years. ShowMaker, a member of the organization since his debut in 2017, has now been with Dplus KIA (formerly DAMWON Gaming) for six years.

Kim “Kellin” Hyeong-gyu also extends his contract with the team, set to forge a new synergy with his bot lane partner, Kim “Aiming” Ha-ram.

However, as part of the team’s strategic reshuffle, Dplus KIA bids farewell to Worlds 2022 champion Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu, and Kim “Canna” Chang-dong.

DRX

One of the biggest LCK roster changes in 2024 was made by DRX. The team is placing its bets on the potential of rookie talent by promoting three players from its academy to the LCK.

This rookie trio is set to join forces with Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee, who has decided to extend his contract with DRX.

Gen.G

Gen.G’s LCK roster changes in 2024 are led by the return of support player Son “Lehends” Si-woo. Adding strength to their lineup, Lehends will be joined by his former KT Rolster teammate, top laner Kim “Kiin” Gi-in.

In the bot lane, Lehends will team up with Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan. Peyz, considered a prodigy among LCK fans, achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the youngest botlaner to secure an LCK title at just 17 years old. His outstanding performance in season 13 also earned him several individual accolades, including LCK Rookie of the Year.

Gen.G continues to fortify its roster with the re-signing of mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, a key player in the team’s consecutive LCK championships in season 13. Additionally, the team welcomes seasoned jungler and Worlds 2020 champion Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu to further enhance their competitive edge.

Hanwha Life Esports

Another promising team on the horizon, Hanwha Life Esports brought the big guns with their LCK roster changes in 2024.

The team’s foundation remains strong as Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo and Park “Viper” Do-hyeon have extended their contracts.

Reuniting after four years, Viper joins forces with his former Griffin teammate Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon.

Furthermore, the bot lane sees a promising tandem between Viper and support Yoo “Delight” Hwan-joong. This duo holds significant potential, given their impressive records in the league.

A notable addition to the roster is former Gen.G bot laner, Han “Peanut” Wang-ho.

T1

T1 is maintaining the winning formula by retaining the same player roster that secured them the Worlds 2023 trophy, making no LCK roster changes in 2024.

The decision includes the renewal of contracts for Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok. Notably, this marks the third consecutive year for this roster, as they have been playing together since 2022.

The team’s achievements speak volumes about the success of this roster, including clinching the LCK Spring 2022 championship, securing 2nd place in both the LCK Spring and Summer 2023 championships, and, for some players, achieving gold at the Asian Games 2022
