Following the success of last year’s SEA Games, which Razer was heavily involved in, Razer has announced the SEA Invitational 2020, a “first of its kind” online tournament featuring esports athletes throughout the region.
The Razer Southeast Asian Invitational 2020 will kick off next month on June 22, with the grand finals set for July 3 – 5.
The Invitational will highlight three of the most popular games throughout SEA, including two mobile titles PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and a sole PC title Dota 2.
A total of ten countries are scheduled to participate in the Razer SEA Invitational 2020: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Brunei.
Only athletes confirmed by their respective esports federations will be eligible to enter the competition. Selection will be held through various qualifiers from May until June.

The SEA Invitational will be spearheaded by Razer alongside Filipino gaming agency Tier One Entertainment, who will be in charge of talent promotions and overall broadcast of the tournament.
Tier One Entertainment’s CEO Tryke Gutierrez is thrilled about the collaboration.

Razer added that the SEA Invitational aims to prepare athletes and federations for the inclusion of esports in the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam set for 2021.
