Last of Us developer, Naughty Dog, has announced that its highly-anticipated sequel, The Last of Us Part II has been delayed indefinitely.

The delay is due to several logistical issues the team is experiencing brought on by the novel coronavirus COVID-19.

Having said that, Naughty Dog also informed fans that they are “nearly done with development” with just a few more bug fixes and final touches to carry out, according to their statement on Twitter.

To tide fans over for now, the company revealed some new screenshots, showing off the game’s visually stunning graphics featuring protagonists Joel and Ellie in a bunch of gorgeous new locations.

The game was originally scheduled to release worldwide on May 29 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
