Vietnam and Malaysia played a best-of-three series on Day 4 of the Southeast Asian Games 2019 Arena of Valor tournament for a spot in the Lower Bracket finals against Thailand.

Game 1

Team Vietnam took first blood in the first series, and also took down the first tower on the bottom lane, followed by two kills from Huỳnh Trọng “Akashi” Tuấn’s The Flash and Phuong “TOP” Nguyen Dong’s Ormarr.

11 minutes later, Vietnam’s amazing draft effortlessly gave them their first win of the series, with about 10,000 more gold than Malaysia, seven team kills and seven towers taken down.

Game 2

The Malaysian squad played far more aggressively in game two, and a fight broke out early over the Dark Slayer. Unfortunately Kok “6IX” KarSeng’s Kriknak also went down in exchange for the buff.

Team Vietnam was ready to defend their base by the 13 minute mark, but Team Malaysia wiped them out, and quickly took the game two win.

Game 3

Team Vietnam dominated the third game, picking off Malaysia’s key members in team fights.

With an overpowered draft and not enough crowd control from Malaysia’s composition, Vietnam took the game and with it the series to advance to the Loser’s Bracket Finals.
