OG Esports announced the addition of a new head coach for the squad. Mikhail “Misha” Agatov will be helping OG Esports on their biggest challenge yet, with the goal of claiming the Aegis for the third time.

Titouan “Sockshka” Merloz will remain as an assistant coach.

Misha was previously a part of Team Spirit as a hard support player who recently transitioned to coaching. He will be making his debut with the legendary Dota 2 team.

While OG Esports has only recently announced that Misha is a part of the team, he actually joined them earlier in the year.

At the end of the second Dota 2 DPC season, the team finished in sixth place and decided it was time for a new perspective. N0tail shared his thoughts on the new coach on OG Esports’ website.

“It has been great having you around since the close qualifiers. You deserve a lot of credit for the transformation the teams have gone through,” wrote N0tail. “We are very grateful for the last few months of work, but the most fun is still ahead of us! An honor to go to TI with you!”

The new coach has certainly been paying off. OG Esports had to go through a difficult open qualifier to reach The International, and they made it after an incredible 3-2 grand final victory over Tundra Esports.

Stay tuned, for The International begins on October 7. It will be exciting to see how OG Esports continues to evolve in their biggest challenge yet.
