In the trailer, a News Coo lands on Luffy’s boat. Luffy invites it to join his adventure, but the bird declines and flies away.

In the world of One Piece, News Coos play the role of mailmen, resembling seagulls that transport newspapers and flyers between ships. The 45th episode of the anime marked a significant moment as a News Coo made its appearance, symbolizing the approaching conclusion of the East Blue Saga, the first main storyline in the series.

Luffy’s Gum Gum Axe and Gum Gum Gatling attacks

The One Piece live action trailer featured Luffy’s signature attacks: Gum Gum Axe and Gum Gum Gatling. Gum Gum Axe involves stretching one leg high and delivering a devastating high-gravity stomp to opponents or structures, causing immense damage, and capable of destroying buildings and ships in a single hit.

In Gum Gum Gatling, Luffy rapidly launches a barrage of powerful punches using his stretching ability, creating the illusion of multiple arms. However, he does not actually grow more arms, making him vulnerable to fast opponents who can intercept the attack.

Bellamy and Foxy wanted posters

The One Piece live action trailer surprised viewers with a brief appearance of Bellamy and Foxy while Luffy and Koby were examining wanted posters.

Bellamy, who is part of the Bellamy Pirates, is introduced as an antagonist during the Jaya Arc. Foxy is the cunning captain of the Foxy Pirates, armed with the Noro Noro no Mi Devil Fruit powers.

Netflix’s inclusion of these characters, who were introduced in the Sky Island Saga and Water 7 Saga in the anime, might suggest a potential expansion beyond the East Blue Saga in the live action series.
