Players have shown they’re willing to learn almost anything in their pursuit of ranking up. This includes going online and looking for the best Valorant molly lineups for entry, or post-plant situations.
As it turns out, you don’t really need to learn every single lineup in every map in order to secure the round. You just need to understand this easy-to-use Viper guide by G2 Esports’ Jakub “Lothar” Szygulski.
What is a Valorant molly lineup?
Viper’s Snake Bite can be used in many different ways. For example, players can throw it on entry, which will prevent defenders from holding strong defensive positions while the attacking team is looking to take control of the map.
It can also be used for post-plants. A common strategy that many players use is a well-placed Valorant molly lineup that lands precisely on the spike. This will stop the defenders from getting near the spike, and earn the attackers the round win by running down the clock.
Lineups can also be used to prevent attackers from planting the spike.
How to throw Viper’s Snake Bite molly without lineups, based on G2 Lothar’s guide
Remembering intricate lineups in Valorant will always be an advantage, but it isn’t easy memorizing specific locations on the map from where you can throw a round-winning molly.
G2 Lothar demonstrated that all you need to land a perfect Valorant molly lineup is your minimap. Each player’s minimap in Valorant shows a circle radius that indicates how far the sound they make can be heard.
“When you aim upright and move forward, [the molly] is going to land exactly at the end of that circle,” explained Lothar.
Players need to make sure the elevation level from where they’re throwing their Valorant molly lineup and the location of the planted spike are the same. Lothar also explained that this strategy will not work if a player from A-main is looking to land it to A-haven on Ascent since they don’t have the same elevation level.
Step-by-step guide for the perfect Valorant molly lineup
- Get far enough from the spike after it is planted
- Make sure you have enough airspace to arch Viper’s Snake Bite to the spike
- Ping the spike on the minimap
- Aim straight up and face where you just pinged
- Run forward and throw the molly right when the circle on the minimap reaches where the spike is
