Ulsan’s path to victory faced a significant hurdle in the form of CBM. The two fierce competitors first locked horns in the first round of the Top 8 bracket, where he demonstrated his mastery of Bob, defeating CBM 2-0 and sending him to the losers’ bracket.

However, CBM’s journey was far from over, as he battled his way through the losers’ bracket with an unwavering will, determined to earn his rematch with his teammate in the grand final.

The grand final showdown between the two KDF representatives was nothing short of spectacular. CBM, known for his skillful use of Noctis, displayed his prowess by defeating his teammate’s Bob and Feng with a resounding 3-0 victory, resetting the bracket and setting the stage for a thrilling final match.

With everything on the line, Ulsan faced a crucial decision. The pressure was mounting, but champions rise to the occasion. In a surprising move, he switched to Kazumi, a character he was originally known for because of his compact and calculated playstyle. The character swap turned out to be a game-changer, as the Korean fighter unleashed a flawless performance.

In the final round of the tournament, the Kazumi player managed to take the life lead with mid and low pokes, pressuring his opponent to contest his turn. With less than 40 seconds left on the clock and only 30 percent left on his life bar, CBM committed a fatal mistake throwing a random Royal Edge (d/f+2) and whiffing. Ulsan did not waste the opportunity and punished CBM for his error with a Tiger Wind Uppercut (d/f+2), carrying him to the wall with a combo and ending the series 3-1.

The crowd erupted in cheers as Ulsan secured the final victory, becoming this year’s REV Major champion. His adaptability, resilience, and unmatched skill were on full display, earning him the admiration of fans who were chanting his name.

Aside from the US$2,500 prize, his triumph at REV Major earns him 400 TWT points and puts him at 1,415 points, bumping him to second place, next to Arslan Ash, in the global leaderboard.

The Tekken World Tour 2023 Global Finals will take place at the Civic Theater in New Orleans, USA from January 12 to 14, where nineteen of the top players from the global leaderboard will be joined by the Last Chance Qualifier winner to battle it out and be the TWT 2023 champion.
