If you haven’t tried Valir in yet in the current patch, now is a good time to do so.

On paper, the mage hero received a minor buff in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang patch 1.6.10, but in reality, it’s major enough to improve his laning phase compared to before.

Why is Valir more viable in Mobile Legends patch 1.6.10?

Let’s take a look at the small buff he received in this patch.

Skill 1 – Burst Fireball

  • New effect: Killing minions and creeps with skill 1 grants a charge.

Valir’s Burst Fireball allows him to store two charges with this skill, and refreshes whenever you hit an enemy hero.

Killing an enemy creeps or minion refreshes a charge. This means you can use this skill to your heart’s content, unlike previously where Valir players were forced to save the skill solely for poking down enemy heroes and to secure kills.

Why is this Valir buff a game changer Mobile Legends ranked games?

Valir is a strong hero who can burst down in the enemies in the late game. In the early game, he is more of a nuisance, and many avoid picking him as he is weak in the laning phase.

Previously, players couldn’t use Burst Fireball to poke, for it’s considered a wasted charge. In patch 1.6.10, Valir players can now effectively use this skill to farm safely from a distance without having to worry about storing a charge just in case a team fight breaks out.

This change will also give him to have a better chance of keeping up in the late game, should he fall behind. While these changes might not affect his pick rate in competitive play, we do expect his presence to rise in ranked games.
