ONIC PH team captain, Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera is one of the strongest offlaners on the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang professional scene right now.
But behind the charming look and down-to-earth personality, Dlar has a story to tell; a story about his journey in becoming an esports player and the hardships he faced along the way.
In a YouTube released by MLBB, Dlar said he didn’t have a mobile phone when his friends first recommended him to play Mobile Legends as he didn’t have enough money to buy one.
In order to play Mobile Legends, Dlar had to use a PC emulator in his early days. But that didn’t stop him from reaching the highest rank possible in the game.

“I would wait for my older brother to lend me his phone,” Dlar said.
“Since I was already a PC user, I would play Mobile Legends in PC. I reached Mythical Glory in MLBB playing only on the PC,”
Trinchera also mentioned his dream of becoming known in the world as the best offlaner in MLBB.
“I want to inspire the kids and at the same time know me as the best offlaner in the world,”
