The results of the M5 Group Draw are officially out, with the outcome promising another action-packed group stage.

From December 2 to 17, 2023, fourteen qualified teams from various regions including two Wild Card teams will clash for a share of the US$900,000 prize pool.

This year’s draw was hosted by MPL PH talents Mara Aquino and Joseph Charles “Naisou” Rezabek. Former EVOS Legends pro player Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera and RSG star Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto also took part.

Before the draw, teams were separated into three main pools.

Pool 1 consisted of MPL PH Season 12 champions AP Bren and runner-ups Blacklist International, as well as MPL ID Season 12 champions ONIC Esports and runner-ups Geek Fam.

Pool 2 is composed of MPL MY Season 12 champions HomeBois, MPL MENA Fall 2023 champions Triple Esports, MPL KH Autumn 2023 champions SeeYouSoon, MTC Turkiye Championship Season 2 champions Fire Flux Esports, LIGA LATAM 2023 champions RRQ Akira, MPL SG Season 6 champions Team Flash, M5 Myanmar Qualifier winners Burmese Ghouls, and NACT Fall 2023 champions TheOhioBrothers.

Finally, LIGA LATAM’s Bigetron Sons, MLBB Continental Championships Season 2 champions DeusVult, and two Wild Card teams made up Pool 3.

Teams from the same region cannot be drawn into the same group. Teams in Pool 1 and Pool 3 also cannot be placed in the same group.

The M5 group draw results revealed some interesting matchups to watch out for, most notably in Group C where M2 World Championship grand finalists AP Bren and Burmese Ghouls will share the stage once more, together with Singaporean champions, Team Flash.

The group stage will happen from December 2 to 7, while the Knockout Stage takes place from December 9 to 16.

The grand final will be played on December 17.

Prior to the Group Stage, two teams will have a chance to secure their spot in the main tournament via the M5 Wild Card event, scheduled in Malaysia from November 23 to 26.
