Philippine representative Bren Esports are calling themselves “Indonesian Slayers”. They pushed through the lower bracket after defeating RRQ Hoshi 3-1, earning the grand final slot at the Mobile Legends M2 World Championship.

The boys in black and yellow won the series in just under four games thanks to the stellar performance of KarlTzy in the assassin/marksman position, while FlapTzy provided the necessary firepower in the side lane.

RRQ Hoshi looked unstoppable in the first match after winning the game with a 21-5 record. Wizzking and Xinnn finished the game with a 7/0/7 KDA on Khaleed and 10/1/10 KDA on Claude. They looked like they had a solid plan on how to shut down KarlTzy’s signature Lancelot.

However, the tides quickly shifted in favor of Bren Esports in game two. FlapTzy led the charge with his signature Yu Zhong, racking in a 8/4/6 KDA and the MVP to tie the series 1-1.

With momentum in their favor, Bren Esports went on to dominate game three, ending the game in just 12 minutes, where the spotlight was once again on KarlTzy’s Lancelot who finished with a perfect 9/0/8 KDA record.

The last game was another cakewalk for the side of Bren Esports. KarlTzy picked Claude and dominated thanks to Ribo’s Pharsa, FlapTzy’s Baxia, and Pheww’s Silvanna melting away the health bars of RRQ. This allowed Claude to dive in, unleashing his Blazing Duet ultimate, and deal the finishing blow.

With the win, Bren Esports have eliminated two Indonesian teams in the lower bracket of the tournament, fan favorites Alter Ego and RRQ Hoshi.

In a post-game interview, KarlTzy said they were confident throughout the series and the reason they lost the first game was to gauge their strategy. “It was just chill for us and we’re just trying to see what they have up their sleeves,” he said.

They will now face the Myanmar representatives, Burmese Ghouls, in a best-of-seven grand final later today at 5:30 p.m. (GMT+8).
