Indonesia’s Geek Fam continues its Cinderella run through the tournament with an upset over MPL MY/SG Season 6 champions, Todak, to start Day 4.
Game One
Geek Fam was able to secure the first game behind Renv Esmeralda’s stellar performance, scoring a 6/0/8 KDA as he dominated Todak all throughout the match.
In the drafting phase, Todak opted for an aggressive draft with Harith, Ling, Jawhead, and Eudora providing early pressure. On the other hand, Geek Fam went for comfort picks such as Akai, Selena, and Esmeralda.
However, it was Geek Fam that would be the early aggressor, as they initiated early pushes to halt Todak’s early game advantage.
At the 10-minute mark, Renv was able to secure a triple kill and the mid base turret to pull away even more. A Lord buff in the 14-minute was enough for Geek Fam to get the first win in the series.

Game Two
Geek Fam once again took charge in the second game, but this time it was Frzz’s Selena who was the shining star with an 8/0/7 outing.
The Indonesian squad continued to dominate in all aspects of the game, easily securing 9 towers compared to Todak who weren’t able to get any towers in the game.
The domination started at the four-minute mark when they secured an 8-1 lead thanks to impressive rotations and constant pressures in all lanes.
Another teamfight nine minutes into the game was another strong showing with Geek Fam getting three kills and two base turrets. Geek Fam cruised to victory, finishing the game in just 11 minutes and eliminating the MY/SG Champions.
Geek Fam will now face the winner of RRQ Hoshi vs Alter Ego in the Semifinals tomorrow.
