Alter Ego proved to everyone that they’re ready to face RRQ Hoshi once again after defeating Genflix Aerowolf in a lopsided victory to proceed to the Quarterfinals of the ONE Esports MPL Invitational.

Game One

In game one, Alter Ego showed grit in the first few minutes, acquiring first blood in less than a minute. They also roamed efficiently to disrupt the rotation of Genflix Aerowolf and deny them gold and experience in the process.

The Brody-Udil connection was highlighted in the mid-game, as the duo had a few skirmishes that went in their favor such as the team fight in the eight-minute mark where Celiboy got a seamless triple kill in the bot lane.

The tenth minute ended with two base turrets already down for the side of Genflix Aerowolf. Another teamfight at the 12-minute mark proved to be too much for Genflix Aerowolf, as they faltered in the first game giving Alter Ego the 1-0 lead.

Game Two

Both teams went for an offensive-focused lineup for game two consisting of multiple marksmen and burst mages.

Neither team could find the upper hand early on, but as the game shifted into the mid-game, Genflix Aerowolf’s rotation crumbled as they made mistakes that saw them get picked off in avoidable deaths.

Alter Ego quickly seized the advantage and got Lord at the tenth-minute mark and managed to kill off three members of Genflix Aerowolf in the process. By the 12 minute mark, all of Genflix Aerowolf’s tower had been destroyed and their base was left wide open.

Genflix Aerowolf managed to survive a few minutes longer, but at the 15-minute mark, Alter Ego pushed in, leading to a wipeout that left the Genflix base completely undefended.

With the 2-0 victory, Alter Ego moves onto the Quarterfinals, where they will face tournament favorites RRQ Hoshi in a rematch of the MPL ID S6 Grand Final.
