G2 Esports retains its current player roster for the LEC 2024 season

G2 Esports confirmed they will retain their current roster for the upcoming season, as revealed in the last 10 seconds of the video. The end graphic states, “We’re running it back in 2024,” accompanied by a photo featuring all five players.

The video played a lighthearted prank on the fans, depicting Caps with a somber expression and delivering a speech expressing gratitude and fond memories with G2. To add an extra touch of realism to the joke, he announced his departure from Berlin, Germany, where the LEC headquarters is located, and teased a potential move to a different region.

At the conclusion of his speech, the camera shifted to the team’s general manager, Romain Bigeard, indicating that it was time for Caps to reveal his destination.

In a surprising twist, it is revealed that Caps won’t be heading to the LCS, LPL, LCK, or any other competitive region. Instead, he plans to return to his homeland, Denmark, for a well-deserved break before the commencement of the LEC Winter Split 2024.

This player roster secured numerous trophies in the LEC during this season, which included championship victories in the Winter, Summer, and Season Finals of 2023.

Despite experiencing elimination at Worlds 2023, following their match against Bilibili Gaming in the Swiss stage, the team remains determined to launch another championship bid next year with the same roster.
