Blizzard is set to follow the modern trend in gaming and release a Diablo 4 battle pass alongside the launch of its inaugural season.
“With each Season comes a new Battle Pass for you to earn rewards from, containing 27 Free Tiers and 63 Premium Tiers,” the official blog post reads.

The Diablo 4 battle pass will come in two levels
When does the Diablo 4 battle pass release?
Blizzard has confirmed that the battle pass will launch in late July when the first season begins. They’ve also stated they plan to change seasons every quarter, and therefore fans can expect that a new battle pass will come with each new season.
How much will the Diablo 4 battle pass cost?
The free battle pass will, of course, cost nothing to take part in, but will have less to gain. For the premium battle pass, fans can expect to pay roughly US$10 to gain access to far more tiers to unlock and rewards to gain.
There is actually a third option, which is the accelerated battle pass. This one “includes all perks of the Premium Battle Pass, 20 Tier Skips, a special Cosmetic, and will cost 2,800 Platinum (equivalent of $24.99 USD),” according to Blizzard.
It was also confirmed by Rod Fergusson, General Manager for Diablo 4, that while the pass does give some in-game currency, it won’t be enough to cover the cost of the next season’s battle pass completely. If you want to get the next season’s pass, you will need to purchase some more platinum or find another way to get some from the game.
