Week 3 of the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League begins tomorrow with BOOM Esports, Geek Fam, and NEW Esports taking center stage as they’re all prepared to play the toughest part of their schedule this week.

Fans should also look forward to seeing new hero drafts and strategies for Week 3 with the newly released patch 7.27 that has revamped the game’s economy and disrupted the existing meta.

Here’s a quick look at some matches you do not want to miss:

Day 1: BOOM Esports vs T1

The first day of Week 3 will feature a highly anticipated match between BTS Pro Series: SEA Season 2 runner up, BOOM Esports, going up against the top performers of Week 1 in T1.

The last time both teams faced one another was in the group stage of BTS Pro Series: SEA Season 2 where BOOM took a convincing 2-0 win against T1. The key player to look out for in the series will be Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky, who was previously with BOOM Esports earlier this year before departing for T1. He will be going up against Rafli Fathur “Mikoto” Rahman in the mid lane.

The clear favorites in this match would be BOOM Esports, especially after their impressive 2-0 performance against Geek Fam in Week 2. But, if Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen is able to put together another stellar performance, T1 could tie the series 1-1.

Day 2: BOOM Esports vs TNC Predator

For Day 2, fans can look forward to a marquee matchup between two formidable tournament contenders in BOOM Esports and TNC Predator.

Both teams are very familiar with each other as they’ve been competing in previous SEA online events, with BOOM Esports getting the better of the matches with a 5-1 record against TNC. BOOM Esports defeated TNC in the BTS Pro Series: SEA and ESL One Birmingham 2020: SEA. TNC would eventually get their first win against BOOM during the BTS Pro Series: Season 2 SEA, but that match still ended with a 1-1 draw.

We see BOOM as the heavy favorites against TNC based on previous matches, and we expect the same 2-0 results from the all Indonesian squad.

Day 3: Geek Fam vs NEW Esports

The tournament will then switch gears and shine the spotlight on NEW Esports as they take on the reigning BTS Pro Series: Season 2 SEA champions, Geek Fam.

NEW Esports has been on a tear during Week 1 and Week 2, and they hope to continue their winning ways by getting a big win against one of the best teams in the tournament.

Fans should be excited to see Yi Liong “ddz” Kok going up against Karl “Karl” Jayme in the mid lane. Expect to see early and nonstop action as both teams are fond of constantly team fighting. We see this series going 1-1.

Day 4: Fnatic vs NEW Esports

On the final day of Week 3, tournament favorite and top-seeded team Fnatic, go up against the second-highest team on the leaderboard in NEW Esports.

Both teams have not faced each other even in previous competitions, which makes the upcoming match more exciting. However, this will be the toughest challenge for NEW Esports, as most of the teams they’ve defeated in the tournament have been lower-ranked teams except for TNC.

Make sure to pay attention to both team’s support players in Djardel “DJ” Mampusti and Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong for Fnatic, while Ng “YamateH” Wei Poong and Choo Jian “MoZuN” Goh on the side of NEW Esports. All support players have had great games in the tournament so far, but we still expect Fnatic to dominate the tournament and win the series 2-0.
