Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 has been extremely kind to snipers.

From marksman rifles like the SP-R 208 to full-fledged sniper rifles such as the SP-X 80, there’s no shortage of weapons to pick off opponents with just a single bullet.

The scope you put on your sniper rifle plays a big role in how your weapon handles. The reticle and sight picture can affect how accurately you land your shots — and some scopes may even give you an advantage by accounting for bullet drop.

Here’s a look at the best sniper scopes to use in the game.

The 3 best sniper scopes for Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2

This is one of the best sniper scopes for Warzone 2.0.

The scope comes with a built-in rangefinder, which displays the distance to your target. On top of that, the red dot moves down according to the distance to help account for bullet drop, so all you have to do is line up the reticle.

For stationary targets, this means you don’t have to aim higher and can simply place the reticle on your target, as you would normally.

With a 13.0X magnification, you’ll be downing opponents from across the map in Al Mazrah. The one downside is the very large sniper glint, which may give your location away.

How to unlock

  1. Unlock Sector A7 of the Season 1 battle pass to unlock the Victus XMR High Value Target.
  2. Level the Victus XMR to level 28.

SP-X 80 6.6X

The SP-X 80 has one of the cleanest sniper sights in the game. It is great for medium- to long-range engagements, and is nimble enough for quickscoping.

In fact, the modest 6.6X magnification means that you shouldn’t be too disadvantaged even if your opponents happen to be close by. And if you need even more magnification, a nifty toggle lets you zoom in up to 11.0X, making this a truly versatile scope.

There are also helpful mil dots on the scope to gauge the bullet drop for better precision.

How to unlock

  1. Reach military rank 7 to unlock the SP-R 208 marksman rifle.
  2. Level the SP-R 208 to level 5.

Forge Tac Delta 4

For the smaller 6v6 core maps in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, the Forge Tac Delta 4 is one of your go-to scopes.

The 5.5X magnification comes with an aim walking movement speed and aim down sight speed boost, when compared to the default scopes on most sniper rifles. This is crucial when it comes to close-quarters combat, ensuring you don’t get lost in the tunnel vision of a longer magnification scope.

This scope is also exceedingly clean, with a thin frame and no-nonsense red dot reticle. It works well on marksman rifles as well and is a big upgrade over the default iron sights.

The best part is its very small sniper glint, which is virtually non-existent and won’t scream your location to everyone in your general direction.

How to unlock

  1. Level the M4 to level 19 to unlock the 556 Icarus.
  2. Level the 556 Icarus to level 9.
