Time to load up on more Valorant Points. Riot Games could soon be adding Valorant emotes to the game, according to data miner ValorLeaks, potentially opening up an entirely new way for players to express themselves.

Since its launch in 2019, Valorant has made available a wide selection of sprays to players, many inspired by beloved memes and gameplay tropes.

While some have used the sprays as a way to taunt their opponents, others have also gone a step further with some good ol’ teabagging or simply spraying the bodies of fallen opponents.

The rumored Valorant emotes could give players even more ways to mock their enemies. And given that there is already a spray that depicts a teabagging Tactibear, it doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch to hope that we’ll one day get an emote that lets you teabag your opponents in style.

Valorant emotes are expected to be similar to Fortnite’s emotes, said ValorLeaks. They will use a third-person view and players will not be able to move while the animations are in effect.

You’ll likely be able to bind different emotes to a wheel in-game, so you can pick the one you want to execute.

Sprays are thought to be getting their own wheel selection feature as well, giving players more graffiti options to choose from at any one time.

Valorant emotes will give players a new way to show off in-game, but some pros believe that the new feature will inevitably lead to more taunting.

OpTic Gaming’s Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker replied to the tweet, saying, “To be fair, they have emotes and a spray wheel in League of Legends. It was bound to happen. Now there’s going to be BM with emotes.”

Taunts have been available in fighting games, battle royales, and MOBAs for years now, and are frequently used to throw players off their game.

Valorant emotes would probably end up being used in a similar way, although they will likely be limited to the Buy Phase and the end of every round.
