A dangerous journey is a lot better when done alongside friends, or something like that.

Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, has gone on record saying that he feels, for lack of a better word, “safer” in his decision to jump into the depths of esports thanks to Ludwig “Ludwig” Ahgren and Charles “MoistCr1TiKaL” White Jr.

The 31-year-old jumped into the Valorant esports scene when he signed a roster to his new organization back on January 8. The team would go on to qualify for the North American Challengers League, proving to be a solid investment despite the initial risk that the team wouldn’t even make it.

Jumping in a bit later, Moist Moguls, the team backed by Ludwig and MoistCr1tiKaL, signed BreakThru. The squad had already managed to qualify for Challengers and even had a few matches under their belt when the duo decided to bring them on board.

When informed that Moist Moguls had pulled off a victory over Challengers super team G2, the Toast was pleased, stating he was “happy for Lud,” on his live stream.

“It really does make me, in a way, safer knowing Ludwig and Charlies are also in the esports scene, specifically the Valorant one,” he explained. “I think if I was the only one, I’d be a little more nervous and like, ‘Am I doing the right thing? Like is this gonna make an impact?’”

It seems this comfort comes from knowing that the duo elected to make this jump, and he believes they know what they’re doing. Both creators have had monumental success in more than one venture, and their giant followings certainly lend a bit of an advantage to the brands they’re building in the space.

“Lud and Charlie are two great guys with really good brains for content. Having them as part of the scene is an absolute dub,” he said.

It’s yet to be seen exactly how this investment will pay off given the current state of esports, but for now, it seems Toast believes in what he and other popular creators are doing.
