Winner: Star Guardian

With the Star Guardian trait going hand-in-hand with Sorcerors, Riot has decided to make the Star Guardians more reliant as individuals. Though both Star Guardians and Sorcerors are getting nerfs in mana-share and spell power, all Star Guardians except Ahri and Lulu have smaller mana requirements to cast their spells.

  • Star Guardian Mana share: 25/40/55 ⇒ 15/25/45
  • Sorcerer Spell Power: 20/45/75 ⇒ 20/40/70
  • Poppy
    • Starting/Total Mana: 60/100 ⇒ 50/90
  • Zoe
    • Starting/Total Mana: 70/100 ⇒ 40/80
  • Neeko
    • Starting/Total Mana: 75/150 ⇒ 25/100
    • Health: 800 ⇒ 850
    • Armor: 45 ⇒ 50

    • Starting/Total Mana: 50/130 ⇒ 30/100
    • Attack Speed Bonus: 100/150/500 ⇒ 80/125/500%

Loser: Cybernetic

Credit: Riot Games

With Cybernetics making a strong comeback with players finding out how to play the newly added Cyber-Sniper Vayne, the developers are looking to keep the trait at bay with a few nerfs. Other than a slight change in its trait bonus, Vayne gets a downgrade on her health and attack damage while Vi’s Assault and Battery now packs a smaller punch.

On the flip side, Cybernetics get a stronger champ in Irelia. The Cybernetic Blademaster gets a solid bump in all fields, increasing her health, armor, and skill power.

  • Cybernetic
    • Bonus Health and Attack Damage: 350&40/600&75 ⇒ 300&35/550&70
  • Vayne
    • Health: 550 ⇒ 500

    • Armor: 35 ⇒ 50
    • Magic Resist: 20 ⇒ 40
    • Bladesurge Damage: 175/250/500% ⇒ 225/250/500%

Winner: Celestial

Credit: Riot

Since the arrival of the Return to the Stars roster, Celestials have taken a huge hit in the meta. With better healing and damage stats on Battlecasts and Astro, Ashe and her cosmic squad have lost their viability as a healing part of any composition.

Fortunately, Celestials rise again with an incredible amplification of their tier-3 healing. On top of that, Rakan receives a bump in health while backline stunner Ashe now has a scaled stun to her Enchanted Crystal Arrow.

  • Celestial
    • Healing: 15/40/99% ⇒ 20/45/150%
  • Xayah
    • Attack Speed: 0.8 ⇒ 0.9
  • Rakan
    • Health: 600 ⇒ 700
  • Ashe
    • Health: 600 ⇒ 650
    • Attack Speed: 0.8 ⇒ 0.85
    • Enchanted Crystal Arrow Damage: 200/275/550 ⇒ 200/300/600
    • Enchanted Crystal arrow Stun Duration: 2/2/2 ⇒ 2/3/4 seconds

Loser: Urgot

Credit: Riot

The galactic Dreadnought gets some substantial changes to make him a well-earned character in the late game. Despite Urgot’s current OP status in the meta, Riot has properly scaled the deadly champion to be more tolerable in his 1-star form, but also gave him the chance to pop off in his 2 and 3-star forms.

  • Armor: 30 ⇒ 40
  • Magic Resist: 20 ⇒ 40
  • Attack Range: 660 ⇒ 420
  • Starting/Total Mana: 40/90 ⇒ 50/100
  • Fear Beyond Death Targeting: Farthest within Attack Range ⇒ Farthest
  • Fear Beyond Death now hits the first enemy it collides with instead of always hitting its intended target.
  • Damage is now preventable (a unit with Guardian Angel will revive).
  • Mana Reduction per cast: 10/20/90 ⇒ 20/30/100
  • Time to reel the enemy in now scales with Star Level.
  • Reel Duration: 1.5 sec ⇒ 3/2/1 second(s)

Winner: Dark Star

Credit: Riot

The Dark Star gang gets a full upgrade on most of its champions to make them more relevant amongst the new traits. Though the Dark Star trait has stayed the same, Moderkaiser and Jarvan become even bulkier tanks while Shaco and Jhin get improved scaling on their skills.

  • Jarvan
    • Health: 650 ⇒ 700
    • Attack Damage: 50 ⇒ 55
    • Mana: 50/100 ⇒ 40/80
    • Ageless Standard Attack Speed Bonus: 0.65/0.75/0.85 ⇒ 0.75/0.85/0.95
  • Mordekaiser
    • Health: 650 ⇒ 700
    • Indestructible Damage: 50/75/125 ⇒ 75/100/200
  • Karma
    • Inspire Shield: 250/400/800 ⇒ 300/450/900
    • Attack Speed Boost: 50/75/125% ⇒ 70/90/150%
  • Jhin
    • Attack Damage: 80 ⇒ 85
    • Attack Speed: 0.85/0.9/1.1 ⇒ 0.9/0.95/1.2
