After becoming the LEC’s 2021 Mid-Season Invitational representative, all of Europe is now looking at MAD Lions. The Spain-based squad started their esports journey just last year after rebranding from Splyce, and they have slowly worked their way to establish a name in the European region.

The team’s youngest member, 19-year old Czech bot laner Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság shared a few things about his personal life with ONE Esports during the MSI 2021 Group Stage, including his love for singing.

When he’s not playing on solo queue or streaming, you’ll find Carzzy singing his heart out to different songs.

“I listen to a lot of genres — rap, pop, and even K-pop. I listen to a lot of stuff,” said Carzzy.

Carzzy is quite into electronic dance music especially since he jams to a lot of songs from K-pop girl groups Twice, Itzy, and of course Blackpink.

He even sang “Blackpink in your area” together with mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brázda during one of their LEC Spring playoffs series.

Carzzy’s favorite food is from his homeland

Aside from singing, Carzzy loves hanging out with his teammates and eating out in restaurants when he’s not in the esports spotlight. While he’s tried some of the food in Iceland, Reykjavik thanks to MSI 2021, nothing compares to the dishes he’s had at his home country.

“I’m very picky with food and so far I must say that I don’t like Icelandic food as much as the food from Czech Republic,” Carzzy admitted.

His comfort food is the Řízek, or schnitzel in English. It’s basically breaded meat cutlet and comes in varieties like veal, pork, and chicken.

Carzzy is very happy with his girlfriend

We see Carzzy post about his girlfriend, zuzu (@thatssouwu on Twitter) from time to time, but what most people don’t know is how the COVID-19 pandemic drastically changed their relationship.

“It’s kinda hard because we haven’t seen each other at all. Right now I think it’s going to be six months since we last saw each other,” Carzzy shared.

“Usually, we try to meet up at least once a month. Before the COVID-19 pandemic struck, it isn’t as bad as it is right now since my country doesn’t allow any traveling.”

Despite the temporary long-distance situation, Carzzy is happy and thankful to have the love of his life support his dreams and let him achieve the goals he has set in his life.

Here’s what Carzzy would say to his 2020 self

Of course, life isn’t always delicious meat cutlets, LEC championship titles, and MSI runs.

Last year might have been the lowest point in Carzzy’s career after MAD Lions got eliminated at the World Championship (Worlds) Play-In stage with an upset from Turkish team SuperMassive.

ONE Esports asked Carzzy what he would say to his 2020 self:

“Put more work in, and also that I would tell myself that it’s not doomed even though the present situation is not looking great,” he said.

Carzzy wants to be friends with DWG KIA’s Ghost and Khan

Before MSI 2021 started, Carzzy expressed his interest in Korean language, saying that he wants to learn hangul to be able to converse with DWG KIA players.
