What exactly are passive skills?

Every Pal in Palworld possess its own set of passive skills. These are “skills” that can give bonuses to their stats.

Take the “Artisan” skill as an example, which increases a Pal’s work speed by 30%. The distribution of these passive skills is entirely random.

Each Pal gets its own mix, and it’s possible for some Pals to end up without any skills. Some of these skills offer advantages, while others might have disadvantages.

The Legend passive skill is a powerful passive skill as it boosts your Pals’ attack by 20%, defence by 20%, and increases their movement speed by 15%, making it an excellent combat passive skill.

  • Frostallion (east of the Land of Absolute Zero, near coordinates -359, 508)
  • Jetragon (north of the Beach of Everlasting Summer, near coordinates -788, -321)
  • Paladius (northwest of the Deep Sand Dunes, near coordinates 449, 679)
  • Necromus (both Paladius and Necromus are at the same coordinates as you’ll have to fight them together)

Once you have captured Legendary bosses, you may now pass down their Legend passive skills to your favorite Pals by breeding.

You can use online resources available, such as Palpedia, to figure out your desired Pals’ breeding tree.

Fastest way to level up in Palworld — beat the grind!

To figure out the breeding tree, you can first visit Palpedia, click Breeding Calculator, scroll down to the Parent Calculator, select any desired Pal you would like to breed, and it will list different combinations of Pals capable of breeding it.

For example, If you wanted to breed an extremely powerful Anubis with the Legend passive skill, you can capture any of the Legendaries to breed an Anubis.

However, capturing Frostallion is recommended because it is arguably the easiest to capture due to its terrain in the battlefield where you can hide behind icebergs to dodge attacks.

Once you have captured a Frostallion, pair it with a Felbat, and there you have it, an Anubis with the Legend passive skill!

However, do note that not all Pals can mate with a Legendary, so for example, you wanted a super fast Fenglope with the Legend passive skill, you’ll have to breed another Pal that can breed with a Legendary to inherit the skill, and then mate it with a Pal that can breed a Fenglope.

Also, some, Jormuntide Ignis, which can only mate with itself to breed, cannot posses the Legend passive skill at all.
