Players from the disbanded Cloud9 (C9) and OG.Seed rosters have banded together to form a new stack to compete at the OMEGA League European Division qualifiers.

The new stack, aptly called 5men, is comprised of former OG.Seed players Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin and Andreas Per “Xibbe” Ragnemalm as well as former C9 players Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard, Rasmus “MISERY” Filipsen, and Johan “pieliedie” Åström.

Ace will take up the hard carry position, Chessie will be the midlaner, Xibbe will be the offlaner, while MISERY and pieliedie will be the support duo.

C9’s Dota 2 squad notably disbanded in late April, a mere three months after the organization made its fifth foray into the scene. Meanwhile, OG.Seed’s roster disbanded in early July after its players mutually agreed to part ways.

The 5men stack will be competing against the likes of Vikin.gg, Team Unique, B8, and 12 other teams from Europe and the CIS for two spots in the OMEGA League’s European Immortal Division, where a US$500,000 prize pool is at stake.

While 5men’s roster includes some of the most experienced free agents in Europe, they will still be hard-pressed to break through in a European scene that is as competitive as ever.

5men roster:

  1. Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard
  2. Rasmus “Chessie” Blomdin
  3. Andreas Per “Xibbe” Ragnemalm
  4. Rasmus “MISERY” Filipsen
  5. Johan “pieliedie” Åström
