A firm battle of ideals is brewing with a fan-favorite anime villain who makes his highly anticipated return to the Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto arc.
On December 17 at Jump Festa 2024, Shueisha, Aniplex, and Linden Films released Rurouni Kenshin’s season 2 trailer.

Rurouni Kenshin will begin airing its second season sometime next year, returning the spotlight to the ambitious and persuasive ex-government assassin Makoto Shishio.

The Kyoto Disturbance arc delves into Kenshin Himura’s journey to stop Shishio’s ambitions of toppling the Meiji government to establish a new Japan, where survival hinges solely on strength.
This upcoming season reunites viewers with beloved characters from the original series, such as Saito Hajime and Shinomori Aoshi, and introduces four new compelling additions.
