A beloved manga series is getting close to turning its final page.

The much-awaited Jujutsu Kaisen manga ending is just around the corner, according to the man who created the series.

On December 16 at Jump Festa 2024, popular mangaka Gege Akutami shared a special message during the Jujutsu Kaisen panel.

He explained that Jump Festa 2024 will be the last time Jujutsu Kaisen will be in serialization, which means the manga will end sometime before December next year.

The manga’s ending schedule is clear because Jump Festa is a fan festival that always takes place at the end of each year.

The manga’s first chapter was released on March 5, 2018, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. According to Akutami’s announcement, Jujutsu Kaisen will finally reach its final conclusion in its seventh year of serialization.

At the time of writing, Jujutsu Kaisen has released 25 volumes, which included 227 chapters and 11 story arcs.

During the Jujutsu Kaisen panel, it was also revealed that the manga has 90 million copies in circulation.

Given the remaining time for the series, it seems reasonable to estimate that the manga will likely have approximately 35 to 40 more chapters.

This projection is based on the regular weekly release schedule, with occasional breaks by Akutami, who tends to take to rest once a week every month.

With the anime’s season 2 close to finishing this month, anime fans can look forward to playing the Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash fighting game, which is set to release on February 24 next year.
