MAD Lions’ jungler Javier “Elyoya” Prades Batalla continues to impress both LEC and international fans at the 2021 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) in their game against paiN Gaming on Day 3 of the Group Stage.

Going in blindly, support player Norman “Kaiser” Kaiser’s Thresh initiated the dragon steal by throwing his lantern into the dragon pit.

Then, Elyoya’s Morgana hit the Blast Cone over the wall to join paiN Gaming’s Marcos “CarioK” Santos de Oliveira Junior’s Olaf, Felipe “brTT” Gonçalves’s Jinx, and Han “Luci” Chang-hoon’s Tahm Kench, who were already inside the dragon pit, and definitely not expecting a dragon steal.

In one swift motion, Elyoya threw down Morgana’s Tormented Shadow, and in the nick of time, smited the Infernal Drake to complete the dragon steal, securing the valuable buff for his team.

After the clean dragon steal, Elyoya quickly used Morgana’s Dark Binding, which hit CarioK’s Olaf, and then fled to safety by taking Thresh’s lantern from Kaiser, all in a matter of milliseconds.

With the power of teamwork, this is what he calls the “Elyoya gap“.

Elyoya’s impressive dragon steal gave MAD Lions an early game advantage, which led to a sweet victory against paiN Gaming. The League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Spring Champions remain undefeated at the the MSI Group Stage alongside 2018 MSI champions Royal Never Give Up and 2020 Worlds champions DWG KIA.

MAD Lions will continue their run in the MSI Group Stage on Day 5, Monday, May 10 at 9:00 p.m. GMT+8. Can they keep their hot streak?
