Analyst and content creator Nick “LS” De Cesare released his League of Legends Arena tier list for the new mode debuting in patch 13.14 in mid-July.

It’s live on PBE and those with access have been praising how fun the 2v2v2v2 game mode is, posting exciting highlights on the League of Legends subreddit.

The launch of Arena coincides with the release of the newest skinline, where champions from Soul Fighter like Jhin and Samira will occasionally make cameo appearances on certain maps.

LS played hundreds of games with LCS and LEC pro players, as well as other high MMR EU West streamers on PBE, which led him to the creation of this list.

The two overpowered champions you should definitely ban — or if you can, pick — are Syndra and Kayn.

In his breakdown video, he highlighted that Syndra’s passive in this mode means that she can quickly stack Splinters of Wrath, which increases her AP. Her abilities are not only long-ranged, but also have short cooldowns.

“She has too much range, too much damage early on, too much CC,” said LS.

In Z-tier, you’ll notice that champions who spawn units that disallow you to strictly 2v2 have been placed here, namely Shaco, Zyra, Malzahar, and Heimerdinger. Zilean also brings his ally back to life — a free GA — and has a very short cooldown on Time Bomb.

S-tier champions contain a handful of bruisers with low cooldowns and possess some form of lifesteal or spell vamp, like Fiora, Riven, Mordekaisser, Mundo, and Singed.

It’s worth noting that many support champions have been placed in D-tier, such as Blitzcrank, Braum, Thresh, Yuumi, Janna, Lulu, Sona, and unsurprisingly, Soraka. So if you’re a support main, go for Alistar instead, or pick something else altogether.
