2XKO is an assist-based fighting game. It features a 2D fighting environment with 3D character models.

The core concept revolves around its tag-team mechanics, where players are in control of two different champions, switching them in and out to create formidable combinations, adding an element of risk and excitement to the gameplay.

The fundamental offensive mechanics in the game adhere to conventional fighting game standards. Players can execute a variety of attacks including high, mid, and low, which can be combined to launch assaults against their opponents.

Looking at the 2XKO move list, it is noticeable that all characters possess the ability to perform launchers and anti-airs, along with a range of other typical offensive choices including ultimate moves.

Defense

Riot’s fighter incorporates a range of distinctive defensive alternatives that grant you control over space and bestow rewards upon players for accurately predicting their opponent’s actions.

The Push Block and Retreating Guard maneuvers provide players with the opportunity to expend meter in exchange for defensive tactics, which allows them to manage the distance between themselves and their opponent.

These maneuvers are considered “safe” defensive actions, as they are difficult to counter and suitable for nearly any scenario. One drawback is that they consistently deplete one bar of your meter.

Furthermore, parries are universal abilities possessed by all characters — you spend one meter to perform either a standard or low parry. Successfully executing a parry results in a refund of the meter, yet failing to time the parry correctly puts you in a very vulnerable position. This defense technique entails significant risk but also offers substantial rewards.

Dynamic Saves leverage your partner’s presence, permitting you to swiftly substitute them into the fray when you’re in a tight situation. This option remains available even if your partner is knocked out. However, opponents can counter Dynamic Saves, leaving your partner susceptible to being ensnared in yet another combo.

2XKO introduces a dynamic where two players can collaborate as a team, with each individual assuming control of one champion.

In this multiplayer setup, the non-active participant must remain vigilant and ready to engage. Synchronization of combos and the orchestration of opportunities for one’s teammate is paramount.

Solo players, on the other hand, will be in control of both champions, enabling the seamless interweaving of combos and the strategic rotation of characters with the support of assists.

Each champion has two assist options. Teammates can be swiftly summoned to extend a combo through Assists, or are tactically swapped in to initiate a combo of their own using the Handshake Tag maneuver.

Additionally, players who have been knocked out will have access to a Last Stand attack, giving them the chance to alter the course of the match even if they’re health bar has already depleted.

  • Freestyle: Handshake Tag twice in one sequence.
  • Double Down: Combine your ultimate with your partner.
