For those wondering if Baldur’s Gate 3 will be coming to Xbox at all, the answer is yes. The team behind the game has stated it’s a matter of when, not of if, as they are well underway on developing the game.

Larian Studios, the Belgium-based game developer behind the hit Divinity: Original Sin series, is creating BG3 and has made something fans are drooling over.

That being said, these same fans have been waiting years for this game to be available to play in its entirety. Unfortunately for Xbox fans, they’ll be waiting even longer.

While there’s no set date for the Xbox release, they have stated that it will launch this year. Given PlayStation isn’t until September, Xbox shouldn’t be more than three months behind at the latest barring any delays.

This is due to what they’re referring to as “technical issues” when it comes to the platform. Have no fear, though. The game will have cross-progression, so you can always swap over to Xbox when it launches from one of your other devices and keep all of your progress.

Either way, with the praise this game has been getting, there’s no doubt that the Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox launch will be met with open arms when it finally comes.
