Speed your way through classic Sonic levels — and bring friends if you want to — in Sonic Superstars, coming soon to a gaming platform near you.

SEGA’s latest Sonic platformer is set to release October 17 on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and on PC.

Even for longtime fans of the franchise used to running their way through Green Hills, Sonic Superstars is bringing something new to the table. As the first title in the series to feature local multiplayer, you can play with up to four players through the story mode.

There’s an included Battle Mode as well, which can feature up to eight players online.



Sonic Superstars Asia Limited Edition gets you a few more goodies

If you want more Sonic merch, the Sonic Superstars Asia Limited Edition bundle might be for you.

You’ll get the base game’s physical edition, an exclusive figure, an acrylic stand, as well as artwork signed by the developers — Takashi Iizuka, the Sonic series’ general producer, and Naoto Ohshima, the character designer of the original Sonic the Hedgehog.

Preorders will also gain a limited-edition LEGO Eggman character skin.
