Former Riot Games executive, Devin Murphy, joined Indian esports company Mobile Global Esports Inc. (MOGO) as its new director of strategic development
Murphy’s new role will see him oversee the development of collegiate esports infrastructure in India.
MOGO, established in 2021, has organized university tournaments in the past two years, with a focus on the games Valorant and Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Its last event in July, the Apex BGMI Championship, saw 250 participants over its 15 days of competition.
“His skill sets and experience are providing MOGO with a concrete path to establishing our tournament calendar and setting the stage for an upcoming summer series and Indian National Championship series,” Dave Pross, MOGO’s CEO, said.

Murphy developed the North American League of Legends Championship Series’ (LCS) strategy and road map from 2018 through 2023.
“Now with universities recognizing the potential for careers in all facets of esports, from production to networking, broadcast to talent management, league operations to business development, I am happy to lend my expertise to MOGO as we strive to build out a holistic, comprehensive university tournament infrastructure for the Indian market, with the support of the universities themselves,” Murphy said in a press release.
