SNK Corporation has revealed that it will be developing two new titles for mobile and console for its cult classic run and gun game, Metal Slug.
The smartphone game will be a 2D, side-scrolling card game that is already about 80% complete, according to Inven Global. This Metal Slug mobile game by SNK Corporation will be different from the intellectual property being developed by TiMi Studios, a subsidiary of mobile giants Tencent Games.

Meanwhile, the new Metal Slug console game will retain its run and gun genre. This will be the eighth Metal Slug game to be released on console, with the last title being Metal Slug 7 on the Nintendo DS 12 years ago. The new Metal Slug game is set to drop on consoles later this year.
