Week 3 of the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League Group Stage continued with TNC returning to their winning ways as they defeated BOOM Esports, while Geek Fam finished their match against Reality Rift in a draw.

TNC Predator 2 – 0 BOOM Esports

In the first game of the day, TNC proved that the new 7.27 patch works well for them, as they took a convincing Game 1 victory over BOOM Esports. Armel Paul “Armel” Tabios also had a perfect game on the Dragon Knight, finishing the game with an 8/0/11 KDA record.

TNC finished off the struggling BOOM Esports squad by shutting down Randy “Dreamocel” Sapoetra’s Anti-Mage with the help of Damien “kpii” Chok’s impressive offlane Void Spirit performance.

Kpii made plays all over the map and caught BOOM Esports’ core heroes isolated, which led to TNC going for a game-ending push at the 33-minute mark. Kpii finished the game with no deaths and 18 assists.

Geek Fam 1 – 1 Reality Rift

Geek Fam won the first game of the match with an Alchemist-centered draft for Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto, who eventually outfarmed the rest of Reality Rift’s core heroes and proved too much for them to deal with in the front line. Meanwhile, Karl “Karl” Jayme on the Queen of Pain dictated the tempo for Geek Fam, while Raven was busy farming and gave their team an early game lead, finishing with a score of 12/2/7.

Reality Rift’s Anti-Mage draft wasn’t that much of a factor, seeing as Geek Fam pushed into their base way before Andrew “Drew” Halim was ready to join team fights. After securing the mega creep advantage, Reality Rift tried to go for an all-in push, but was shut down by Geek Fam.

During the final game of the day, Reality Rift bounced back with a Spectre, Void Spirit, and Spirit Breaker core lineup that caught Geek Fam by surprise. Reality Rift was active during the early game, securing early kills for drew, which earned him a Helm of the Dominator six minutes into the game.

Reality Rift also decided to let Ravdan “Hustla” Narmandakh’s Weaver farm a quick Aghanim’s Scepter, which helped the team save any heroes that were focused down by Geek Fam. Reality Rift would eventually finish the game at the 36-minute mark, with drew ending the game on a 17/2/16 KDA score.

TNC Predator now sits in second place moving ahead of T1 and BOOM Esports which gives the Filipino squad a better chance at an Upper Bracket seeding in the Playoffs. Meanwhile, BOOM Esports and Reality Rift now both have a 7-7 record with 9 points, while Geek Fam also has an even record at 4-4 with 5 points.
